Proč je pro hubnutí důležité posilovat (vysvětleno opravdu polopatě)

,,Jééé ty se snažíš hubnout? Tak to musíš dělat hodiny kardia, viď?"
,,No, ani ne, hele..." 



Kolikrát už jste už slyšeli, že abyste podpořili hubnutí, musíte cvičit hlavně kardio? O spojení kardia a hubnutí jsou napsány miliony článků. Ať už těch odborně vypadajících, nebo takových, jaký si tu na svým blogu píšu já. Naštěstí už jich je spousta i o tom, že je posilování pro hubnutí vážně důležitý. Některý jsou ale moc odborný. Ne každýho zajímá, jak fungujou jednotlivý hormony a buňky v našem těle, někoho prostě ty biologicko-chemický-až-fyzikální kecy prostě nezajímaj a já to chápu. Ono se to totiž dá celý shrnout do jednoho řádku, kterej snad ani netřeba vysbětlovat:

Posiluješ, máš víc svalů - čím víc máš svalů, tím rychlejc spaluješ - čím rychlejc spaluješ, tím víc můžeš jíst.

No není ten konec přímo pohádkovej? Čím víc máš svalů, tím víc můžeš jíst! To už za tu námahu při posilování stojí, no ne? :)

Ale dobře, pojďme si to ještě malinko rozebrat, ať v tom máte opravdu jasno. Posilováním nabíráte svalovou hmotu. Ta na svůj chod potřebuje víc energie, než tuk. To znamená, že když budete mít víc svalů, budete potřebovat víc energie, tedy budete spalovat víc kalorií. Osvalenější tělo bude v běžném životě spalovat víc, než to méně osvalené. Pokud chcete hubnout, rychlejší spalování je přesně to, co potřebujete. Ale i pokud chcete váhu jen udržovat, tak je rychlejší metabolismus určitě příjemnou pomůckou, vždyť kdo by nechtěl víc jíst a přitom nepřibrat. Svaly vám prostě a jednoduše umožní si na talíř naložit větší porci, protože vám je pak pomůžou rychlejc spálit :) A to samozřejmě nemluvím o tom, že se díky posilování vaše tělo tvaruje. Ti, co pravidelně posilují, si většinou nestěžují na to, že jim stojí váha. Ona třeba opravdu stojí, ale posilování vám zajistí, že ty změny místo na váze uvidíte především v zrcadle! 

Tohle není článek, kde bych chtěla porovnávat, co je lepší, jestli kardio nebo posilování. Nesnažím se vám tímhle článkem kardio zakazovat. Jen říkám, proč nezanevřít na posilování :) 

A pak vám někdo ještě řekne: ,,Hlavně žádný těžký váhy, jinak ti narostou svaly a budeš vypadat jak babochlap!" Ale o tom zase příště... 

Jak už víte z minulého článku, za první 3 měsíce hubnutí se mi povedlo shodit 11 kilo. A i když všichni dobře víme, že hubnutí je především o stravě, i na fotkách je vidět, že mi to posilování (hlavně s vlastní váhou těla) taky prospělo :)

Když je kolem vás hned dopoledne TOO MUCH BLOOD

Divadlo
Večer. Slušný oblečení. Pocit, že jsem součástí něčeho kulturně ,,na výši".

,,Dobrý večer, vaše lístky prosím."
,,Dobrý večer, tady... Ježiš pardon, vždyť ono je dopoledne"
,,Ajo, já na to taky pořád zapomínám!"

Takhle nějak vypadal můj rozhovor s uvaděčkou v Divadle Komedie. Obě jsme se našemu přeřeku zasmály. Bylo 11 dopoledne a očividně jsem nebyla jediná, kdo si návštěvu divadelního představení spojuje s pozdějším časem. A co teprv ten nezvyk, když jsem šla do divadla s batohem? Dobře, nebyl to žádnej křiklavej sportovní batoh a kromě něj jsem byla oblečená v rámci možností slušně (ale večerní róba to taky zrovna nebyla), stejně jsem si ale přišla trošku divně. A znovu jsem se svými pocity nebyla sama, s kamarádkou jsme se usmívaly, když jsme (neslušně) poslouchaly rozhovory z řad za námi, které se nápadně podobaly našemu přemýtání nad divností toho všeho. Předpokládám, že se takhle cejtí každej, kdo se rozhodne navštívit dopolední veřejnou generálku místo následné premiéry a dalších klasicky večerních představení... Tyhle divnopocity ale naštěstí vůbec neovlivnily moje pocity přímo z představení.

I found out that many of my Instagram followers loved my idea of "Insta Stories Recipes" @mishyvavrin. Insta Stories Recipes work quite easily, I simply take pictures or videos while cooking and then post them to my stories. And I understand quite well why my followers love it. It shows how normal people (I mean no chefs or fancy food bloggers) prepare their food... And since it went so well I decided to put this recipe into a post because as we all know Insta Stories only last 24 hours...

Knižní koutek: S Dopplerem nad Oslem

Doppler, pilný Nor, se ze dne na den rozhodne, že bude žít v lese. Opustí práci, hezký dům i rodinu a usadí se ve stanu v lese nad Oslem. Brzo mu dojdou peníze i jídlo, a tak zabije losici. Jenže tím kromě masa získá i nového společníka, (její) losí mládě. A to je teprve začátek Dopplerova nonkonformního života...

Když sladíte knížku s obědem...

Skandinávie. Skandinávii miluju a každá kniha skandinávského autora nebo ve skandinávském prostředí má prostě hned takové to malé (větší) bezvýznamné (spíš docela významné) plus. Není to spravedlivý, ale takovej je život. Doppler ale tuhle výhodu vůbec nepotřeboval. Přitom je tady v té knížce ta Skandinávie fakt důležitá. Skandinávské země jsou známé svou vyspělostí, všechno tam klape, jak má, lidi jsou na sebe milí (za půl roku jsem tam nepotkala jedinou prodavačku, která by se na všechny neusmívala) a všichni jsou šťastní a spokojení. No a přesně tohle všechno přestalo Dopplera bavit. 

Protest. Doppler protestuje proti společnosti a všemu, co je pro ni dnes typické. To všechno bylo typické i pro něj, ale jemu se to najednou přestalo líbit. Už i v tom náhlém obratu vidím autorovu kritiku dnešních měnících se extrémních trendů (ty ještě pořád jíš lepek a všechny ty jedy co nejsou raw? a fakt si ani neuvažoval, že bys mohl bejt vegan?). Nepřehlídnutelný je třeba protest proti konzumu. Doppler se sice neobjede bez nízkotučnýho mlíka, peníze na to, aby si ho koupil, ale nemá, a tak se zaměstnancem supermarketu uzavře směnný obchod, kdy mu dá losí maso a on mu za to před obchodem nechává mléko a další věci, který Doppler přes veškerej odpor nemůže opustit. 

Sebekritika. Autor Erlend Loe sice v knize kritizuje společnost, to by ale bez vlastní sebereflexe mohl udělat jen těžko. A to samý byste měli udělat i vy, jinak většinu vtipů v knize vůbec nepochopíte a budete se nudit od začátku do konce. To neznamená, že byste se po dočtení poslední stránky měli chytit za nos a kompletně překopat svůj život, to po vás nikdo nechce. Tohle není kniha, která vás chce měnit... 

Samota. Nebo osamělost? Doppler odchází do lesa, protože nemá rád lidi. Chce být sám. Chce přemýšlet. Třeba o tom, že vlastně nikoho pořádně nezná. Přitom je ale rád za společnost malého losa, ke kterému se chová, jako by to byl člověk...

Absurdita. V knize se stávají věci, které jsou až nereálné a nemyslitelné. Na každé druhé stránce vás Doppler (spolu s  téměř všechmi ostatními postavami) překvapí. Připravte se na trochu toho přehánění. 

Satira. Především pak její komická část. Za břicho se možná popadat nebudete, nudit se ale taky nebudete (pokud jste teda otevřeni troše té sebekritiky). Musíte bejt prostě připravený se zasmát některejm jevům dnešní doby. 

Děj. Ten tam opravdu moc důležitý není. Mně to sice nevadí, ale pokud jste spíš fanoušci obrovských zápletek, Doppler možná nebude kniha pro vás. 

Kniha je tu pro všechny s otevřenou myslí, kteří jsou schopni sebekritiky, nebo alespoň kritiky dnešní doby a způsobu života. 
Já jsem z ní nadšená. Už si ani nepamatuju, kdy jsou podobnou knihu četla, jestli vůbec...

Weight Loss: Results After 3 Months (Transformation Pictures)

I started my weight loss journey on January 3 and I started seeing results immediately. I'm pretty sure it's one of the reasons why I'm still in the process and I haven't given up on it like I did many times before. So here I am after three months and I dare to say that I look better even though I still have a long way in front of me...

I wrote an article about my first month of weight loss journey two months ago. You can read this article HERE. Back then I was excited and ready to continue. I've started a million times and I gave up that many times as well but this time it's been already three months and I believe that these three months were enough to change my lifestyle (hopefully forever). 
I'm not going to say that these three months were easy but they weren't hard either. Once you find the right motivation and once you start there's nothing that could stop you. My motivation is to get healthy. I'm really sorry for what I've done to my body but there's no space for regrets anymore. I don't want to look back and blame myself for what I've done. I'm doing my best now and that's what matters!

Shopping Guide: Ultimate Grocery List - What to Buy When You Want to Eat Healthy

We've all been at the point when we wanted to start eating healthy but we didn't know what food should we buy. We went shopping, bought what we thought is enough and when we came back and started browsing through hundreds and hundreds of healthy recipes, we found out that we always miss at least half of the ingredients...

I get you, I know this struggle too well. But the more I learn about healthy eating the more I see that I actually need just a couple of basic foods to get me through the whole day. A healthy lifestyle is actually quite easy to follow...

Don't buy processed food. Buy basic food and make your own meal out of it. Forget about all the supplements you see on the internet, it's not necessary to buy expensive proteins to be healthy. Forget about 99% of fitness, protein or müsli bars because they're not healthy! The fact that you see every fit girl on Instagram eating them doesn't mean it's actually healthy. So again, focus on basic food because you can make everything you need out of it...

Everyone knows eating disorders even though there's no exact diagnosis and there's no cure for them. It's not easy to get rid of eating disorders but it's not impossible as well. Today I'm going to tell you how I managed to do it and I hope this advice might help you to deal with it as well!

I told you my story in the last post. I told you how I started having problems and lived with eating disorders and self-hatred. The last thing I mentioned was that I moved from a small town to Prague and that's when I realised that my feelings aren't right. I knew I needed to change that!

Before I'm going to tell you what I did to get rid of eating disorders and bad feelings about myself, I want to remind you that if you met me now, you wouldn't call me skinny. I fought with food till I was nineteen and even after this point I didn't eat well. I focused more on my mind which is more important in this case. But if you read some of my last articles you know I'm now focusing on living healthy so I can cure my body, not just my mind, as well.But I want to talk about healthy mind today...

STOP BEING AFRAID OF FOOD, EDUCATE YOURSELF
I saw that I'm moving nowhere with junk food, starvation and self-hatred and I knew I needed to change something in order to live a normal life. But the change can't come easily after so many years. I saw the consequences in the way I treated myself and the way I thought about food. I was afraid to eat. The good thing was that at that time the trend of healthy lifestyle and fit bodies ovecame the trend of anorexia and super thin bodies. I started to read articles about healthy food and I tried to force myself to stop being afraid of eating.

Life with Eating Disorders and Self-hatred 1/2: How It All Started

I believe that many of you will understand the story I'm about to tell you. It's not surprising because there are many people suffering eating disorders, self-hatred and desire for perfection. On the other hand, many of these people don't know about their problem or they don't want to admit it to themselves. I stopped being ashamed about my problems and I'm not going to keep them a secret anymore. Just a very few people know my story. That's one of the reasons why I don't want to stay quiet anymore. That doesn't mean writing this article and admiting this problem to the world isn't a challenge for me...

I was nineteen when when I first realised it's not normal that I hate myself. The worst thing was that I felt like that since I was twelve. How come I only realised it after so many years? I have no idea. I never saw the desire for a perfect body and life and self-hatred as something bad. I felt like this since I was twelve because that was when I fell into anorexia. I only ate one meal a day and by a meal I mean one bread roll or one apple. What's more, I forced myself to work out a lot even though I moved a lot during the day anyway. I weighed myself many times a day when I started seeing results so I could enjoy my success. I jumped of joy when someone noticed that I lost weight and I was even more excited when someone told me that I shouldn't keep losing weight anymore because I already look good enough. I wanted attention. I also liked the control I had over my life and body. I wasn't happy, though. Not even a thinner body would make me feel good enough.

1. Food
You could say that there's delicious food in every city and you're right but damn Copenhagen... If you want perfect breakfast you can't go wrong with any bakery in the centre but my personal tip is to go to the Holm's Bager. That's where you start the day right!

10 Reasons to Study Abroad

I spent one semester in Sweden and I loved it. It has been something I wanted to do and now I think everyone should try it. Here's why...

1. You'll learn to be independent 
I've been "mommy's girl" until I landed in Gothenburg last January. I wasn't able to do anything without her help and suddenly I had to go through bureaucracy and everything connected to moving to another country all by myself. But that wasn't all. I had to take care of myself. You might think it's obvious but I wasn't used to it. I had to plan my time, do laundry, cook and so on. That was a sudden change. So you just have to do all of this because none else will! And that's good...

2. Learn the language
If you've never really used English in everyday life studying abroad will be a huge change for you. You might think your English is good because you have good grades but you might find out it's not true. Suddenly you'll have to speak English to your doctor or learn how to use special machines by reading English instructions. That's when you really learn. And of course you'll learn the informal English which is something you can't practice anywhere else. 
And of course it's not just English :)

Weight Loss: 1 Month In

Some of my readers already know that I started my weight loss journey at the beginning of 2017. And it's going really well! But it's not just about losing weight...

It's been a month since I started with losing weight. Month is a short period of time but for me it's a huge step! I've started a million times and I always failed. Sometimes I was able to eat healthy and excercise just a couple of days, sometimes longer. But it always ended with overeating. Why? Because I didn't eat enough. I ate just a few calories a day to lose weight fast and to look good in shorts. So I was literally starving myself and that's something you can't do for a long time. This time I turned it all around and did what I should have years ago.

I started losing weight because I wanted to be healthy.

Hi Katerina! You're currently living in the Netherlends but before we get to that I'd like to ask you about the UK because you spent half a year there. Where exactly were you and why did you move there?
People often want something new and I was looking for new experiences and I wanted to find my boundaries. I spent one semester as an exchange student at the university in Bristol. Bristol is an amazing student city in southwest England. The UK is a great place for life I just need to forget the well known windy British weather that I couldn't get used to. I traveled a lot while I lived in the UK. I love their architecture, brick houses, old British pubs as well as wild countryside that looks like from Emily Brontë's or Daphne du Maurier's novels.

Blogging Tips: How to Break Through Writer's Block

I've been blogging on and off since I was 12 and I definitely know what it means to have writer's block. Throughout all these years I've found some things that help me to overcome it and I'd like to share them with you!

Healthy Recipe: Avocado-Banana Brownies

It has only been a week and I'm already trying many healthy recipes because I want to change my meals as many times as possible so I'm still motivated to stick to my New Year's resolutions...

I love anything brown. It means there could be chocolate in it. And I looooove chocolate. Brownies are my favourite desserts. I could eat them every day, not kidding. But now I'm trying to lose weight and brownies are usually full of sugar which wouldn't fit into my diet (don't get me wrong, I'll definitely have some later but for now I want to stick to my diet plan as much as I can). But I've heard about brownies made of avocado or red beans. So I decided to buy avocado this time (even though I don't really like it) and found the easiest recipe I could.

New Year's Resolution: 5 Simple Rules of Healthy Lifestyle

Yes! I started my weight loss journey at the beginning of 2017! I really needed to do it and I'm glad I started...

I know that there is a saying when it comes to weight loss: Nobody said it was easy. That is really true! I've started maybe a thousand times and as you can guess I never finished my weight loss journey... I feel that now I'm ready but I know that only time will say.
But... healthy lifestyle actually IS EASY! You can find (too) many articles that are far away from truth (and I want to start series where I'd explain these myths) but in the end you'll find out that all you need to keep your lifestyle healthy is to use your common sense! 
So what should you do to live healthy? 

1. MOVE
Our society is known for its sedentary lifestyle. Every hour spent sitting is wrong for your body: it makes your methabolism slower, it weakens your muscles, it doesn't really help your spine, and so on.
